Types of Materials
Teacher Pack Materials (Non-Consumable)
Each unit comes with a Teacher Guide, a Word Study Card Set, and Teacher Printables (such as Bingo games and graphic organizers-思维导图). On the Level Learning platform, teacher materials can be viewed and downloaded.
Student Workbooks (Consumables)
Each unit comes with a student workbook. It provides word study, comprehension, oral language and writing practice. On the Level Learning platform, workbooks are available to view only and cannot be downloaded.
Anchor/Read-Aloud/Decodable Texts (Non-Consumables)
Anchor texts are chosen based on the theme of each unit. On the Level Learning platform, all these texts are available to view only and cannot be downloaded.
Digital Availability
In the Step Up Module on the Level Learning Platform, all materials can be sorted by type, level and unit.
Print Availability
With the purchase of Step Up digital licenses, there are two ways to print:
District Printing:
District may sign a licensing agreement to print teacher pack materials and student workbooks. Contact support@levellearning.com to receive the licensing agreement.
Anchor/Decodable/Read-Aloud texts cannot be printed by the district due to copyright concerns.
Purchase print from our partner, Chinese Books for Children (CBFC)
CBFC provides print for teacher pack materials, student workbooks and anchor/decodable/read-aloud texts. Contact support@levellearning.com to receive price list and plan order details.
Convenient Online Navigation of Resources
The main teacher resource for each unit of Step Up is the teacher guide. The Teacher Guide contains step by step instruction on how to deliver intentional language instruction supported by each accompanying anchor text, student workbook activity and teacher printable activity.
Teachers may find it useful to display the different resources digitally during a lesson. As teachers click on each resource, the resource will open on a new tab to make it convenient to switch among different resources during instruction.
