Level Learning is slow or lagging: how to fix slow performance

Fixes for when Level Learning is slow, lagging, freezing, or loading slowly for students. Covers internet, supported browsers, firewall whitelisting, and clearing cache.

Slow performance in Level Learning is almost always caused by the device, browser, or school network. Try these steps in order:

1. Check the internet connection. Slow Wi-Fi is the most common cause, especially with a whole class online. If other websites are also slow, ask your school IT team to check the network.

2. Use Chrome or Safari. Level Learning works best on the latest version of Google Chrome or Safari. See the IT requirements document for supported devices and browsers.

3. Whitelist Level Learning on the school network. Firewalls and content filters can slow or block audio, video, and images. Ask your IT team to whitelist the domains in the IT requirements document .

4. Clear the browser cache. Clear cache and cookies, then fully close and reopen the browser. Steps for clearing the cache are also included below.
